September 2012

We had a great time at our September workshop.  We visited Kid Hollow Farm and dyed our own skeins of yarn.  A special thanks to Pat Harder for hosting and teaching us all about how she dyes her beautiful yarn!

But before we get to the dyeing a quick look at the adorable angora goats that Kid Hollow is known for…

And now onto the dyeing!  First we started with our natural colored yarn in a tray:

Next we added all of the color before putting the yarn in the oven!

After baking for a little while, we were able to take out our (still steaming!) new yarn:

After a quick rinse and spin, our yarn is ready!
